How often should I meditate?
The short answer: as regularly as you can sustain. For most people that means a short session most days.
A simple starting point
- Aim for daily, even if it’s just 5–10 minutes.
- A little every day builds the habit and the skill faster than an occasional long sit.
- Missed a day? Don’t make it a big deal, just pick it back up tomorrow.
Why daily works
Meditation is a skill, and skills grow with repetition. Practicing daily keeps the “returning your attention” muscle warm, so it gets easier and carries into the rest of your day.
Make it stick
- Anchor it to an existing habit: right after you wake up, or before bed.
- Set a daily reminder in the app so you don’t have to rely on memory.
- Watch your streak: a gentle nudge to keep the chain going.
Start smaller than you think you should. A habit you keep is worth more than an ambitious plan you drop.
